About Educational Psychology Service

Categories Children, Child development
Service Notes Educational Psychologists work with children and young people aged 0-25 and the professionals who support them and they specialise in how children and young people develop. Educational psychologists work in partnership with adults to understand the needs of children and young people better. We help them develop their own skills to work with children and young people. Requests for involvement usually go through the school and pre-school requests are processed through the Early Years Triage. Parents/carers should talk to the SENCO at your child's or young person's school or Early Years Setting. If they agree that your child or young person is not making progress or is not developing socially or emotionally, then they can arrange for you to meet the Educational Psychologist. OR Contact the service if you are worried about the needs of your child or young person and you can ask for the The Educational Psychologist .
