Special Needs Caters for children with special needs.
We work in partnership with the SEN (special educational needs code of practice) and as set out in out in our policy we are adaptable to support children with any additional needs . Our staff team have a vast amount of experience working with children with additional needs. We have 2 named senco’s who have undergone important training learning to identify children with SEN as well as support them to and set out realistic goals for them to achieve. We also attend termly SEN training to keep up to date with the advice and strategies which are given by the Early Years inclusion team.
We have supported children with a range of special needs, for example, epilepsy, communication difficulties, global developmental delay, and cerebral palsy. We pride ourselves on taking advise from other professionals. For example, helping children to achieve goals set out by the speech therapist or by early years practitioners working closely with the integrated service team.
Most importantly we listen to you as parents/carers to provide care that both you and your child are content with. We understand that parent/carers are the main educators in their child’s learning. We see that it is our professional duty to identify children with emerging SEN and to support them and their parents/carers with their needs, any difficulties they may face and most importantly to ensure they make development in their learning relevant to their sage/stage.
