I'm Sharon, I am married with 3 adult children and a teenager, and I live in a house overlooking the countryside in Brigg. I have over 20 years experience in childcare (27 if I include my own children), both in my own home and in a nursery and infant school environment. I am qualified to a high level, having a foundation degree in early years as well as training in safeguarding, first aid and the EYFS. I chose to do this job because I love children, enjoy being with them, getting to know them and making their early experiences the best I possibly can. I am quite informal, approachable and take the lead from the children and their parents, who I have always built good relationships with. I am still in touch with some of the children I cared for (the oldest is 21 years old!). I have looked after babies and watched them grow, taking them and collecting them from nursery and school, and looking after them during school holidays and I am also registered for funded children. Special Needs
I provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for all children, including those with SEND, and support them in reaching their full potential. I am aware and understand the code of practice which outlines and underpins working with children with SEND. I have relevant experience of working with children with SEND and work closely with parents and other specialist agencies. I attend relevant training to keep myself up-to-date with changes in legislation and new ideas.
