Welcome to Little Learners childminding services, Ofsted registered and founded in 2019, our childminding service will provide outstanding care to children from birth to 5 years. Here at Little learners we plan with each individual child in mind, allowing children to engage in an effective balance of child-initiated and adult led activities, following children’s interests and meeting their unique needs. All children that attend Little learners are given opportunities to experience a range of stimulating activities across all seven areas of the Early years foundation stage, ensuring that children are provided with the best outcomes to progress towards or exceed the early learning goals. The areas of learning and development cannot be delivered in isolation from the others, the three prime areas, personal, social and emotional development, physical development and communication and
language will be the areas that require the greater planning, however all areas are valued and are needed to provide the children with holistic development. We encourage planning in the moment, practitioners will use interactions with the children in order to develop their knowledge and experience and build upon it in the moment, right there and then. As early years practitioners we will be able to identify the ‘teachable moment’ and know how to effectively react to support children’s learning, with planning in the moment there will be very little forward planning, each day the children’s learning experiences will be captured within their learning journey or the planning portfolio.
All areas of the EYFS will be met and delievered through planned and purposeful play, when planning we will implement our understanding of the Characteristics of effective learning and how these thread through all the seven areas of learning, showing awareness of how each child is
unique and will have different methods of learning, the knowledge of each child will help us to plan further activities in order to support the learning and development of each individual child. Categories Childcare, Child minders, Registered childminders
