Special Needs Caters for children with special needs.
Barrow Pre-School Playgroup aims to maintain a high quality setting, providing excellent, affordable and flexible childcare for all children in our vicinity. We treat each child as an individual, working alongside parents to cater for their child's emerging needs.
We cover all areas of the foundation stage curriculum in a warm, inviting, accessible and spacious setting. Our staff are fully trained and attend regular training to ensure that they offer the best experience for your child.
The children learn through play with our large range of activities including painting, craft, mark- making, sand and water play, construction, small world, role play, music, dance and physical play.
Each child has an allocated, named keyperson to provide for their individual care and educational need. They will work with our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and the parents to ensure a graduated response to the child's developing needs. They will ensure the involvement of outside agencies when required.
It is our statutory and professional duty to ensure that the Code of Practice 2014 is met with all children within our setting. Our policies can be read by all parents if required.
Older children have visits to the local Primary School and we work with the staff there to ease transition when the time comes for them to move.
We are committed to promoting equal opportunities and all children within our care will be treated with equal respect irrespective of class, ethnic origin, gender, disability, race or religion. We aim to provide an inclusive environment in which tolerance and understanding is fostered and in which all cultures can be shared.
We look forward to the fun times ahead..........
