Skills Centre PLUS

Referral Initial visits to the Centre can be arranged by phoning the office 01724 705070, however all referrals are made via North Lincolnshire Council.

Disabled Access The Supported Internship Course at Skills Centre Plus is offered to young people 16 – 25 who have an Education Health & Care Plan. We work with the young person to design a course that is tailored to their specific needs and will help them to move forwards to employment. We focus on their skills, abilities and interests to help them to find their next step. Skills Centre PLUS has industry standard workshops and Hair & Beauty salon; we are able to support young people in most vocational areas.During the Summer holiday period, PLUS offer a number of places for potential Supported Internship students to help them get to know the staff at the Centre and gain confidence in attending before the main programme starts in September.

The course is totally focussed around employability skills and the support required to enable employment and self-sufficiency. PLUS provide a small group or one-to-one learning environment to help develop confidence and enable positive experiences.We work with many employers across North Lincolnshire and have had many successful transitions of young people into employment.
