Other Information Cambian is one of the largest providers of specialist education and behavioral health services for children in the UK. Our services have a specific focus on individuals who present with high severity needs. We provide specialist residential schools, care and education for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger Syndrome, moderate to severe learning disabilities, challenging behavior and complex needs. Our youngest students come to us at age five. Our education and transition pathway services range from specialist primary schools, specialist secondary schools and specialist further education services. We also deliver therapeutic fostering services through By the Bridge with Cambian for children and young people in need of temporary care. Our first priority is to ensure that children and young people with learning disabilities enjoy the same right to a happy and fulfilled life as everyone else. Each individual in our care begins a personalised care pathway that helps them develop the necessary skills to leave our services and move towards a less restricted environment or supported living. For many years, Cambian has been delivering pioneering specialist services, which have helped shape the world of mental health services. Our clinical interventions aim to help the children and young people in our care to rebuild their lives so that they can regain their place in the community. We focus on stabilisation of mental illness, daily living skills and an integrated multi-disciplinary approach to psychology, psychiatry, occupational therapy and nursing.
