Other Information West Street Children’s Centre is located on West Street in Scunthorpe. It is a few minutes walk away from the town centre and local shops and is within walking distance of local schools. There is a large council car park across the road from the centre. Poppy Fields Nursery providing childcare for under fives is based in the Children’s Centre building and work together closely. The core purpose of a Children’s Centre is to help families with: • Child development and school readiness. • Parenting aspirations and parenting skills • Health and life chances Our Centre provides services for all children, young people and their families and it is also a place where young people and parents can go when they need help and support. Activities are inclusive to all children, including those who have a disability or additional needs.
