All children are loved and cared for in a warm relationship, as much as they have with their parent/carers, all their needs are assessed and catered for. Safeguarding procedures are in line with MARS Guidelines. The Equality and Diversity policy is implemented with positive attitudes and a sensitive approach. All staff must be aware of the other cultures, religious beliefs and language. Activities will include celebrations of other cultures, festivals, as well as foods, clothing, songs, stories and posters of life in other parts of the world. The nursery has a very good rapport with the local schools. If a child who attends the nursery attended somewhere else e.g. childminder we would encourage rapport with them. Situated in a village. Provides places for the 2, 3 and 4 year old Government funded hours, including 30 hours. No children will be excluded from any activities because of sex, disability, religious beliefs, those who have English as a second language or any other reason. If the disability or language prevents the total activity being feasible we will adapt that activity. Apple Tree is committed to regular staff training. Internal and external agencies are used for staff training. Our relationship with parent/carers is very important and we must communicate with them as much as possible, anytime they wish to talk to us, we must make time available. All staff must remember that confidentiality is paramount at all times. A procedure for complaints is on the notice board for parents/carers, within the reception area and a copy is also given to the parents/carer when they enrol their child. Our aim is to create a safe, stimulating and caring environment which includes a full range of activities and experiences which young children require to meet their physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social development and to offer the highest standard of quality day care with a personal touch.
