Toy Box Nursery LTD is committed to making our setting inclusive and accessible to all children and to making sure that children are able to reach their full potential. All children have the right to the Early Years Foundation Stage and all staff have a duty to meet the needs of all the children attending the setting. Every practitioner is a practitioner of every child including those with SEN. We have regard for the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Code of Practice (0-25 guidance) on the early identification and assessment of children with special educational needs. We follow the graduated approach as specified in the SEND code of practice 0-25 years to ensure inclusion for all children. All our staff are trained in paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food safety. We have a trained SENCO who works closely with our staff members to ensure children with additional needs are supported. We have worked with other professional agencies including Health Visitors, Early Years Inclusion Team, Speech and Language therapists, Visual impairment team and Educational Psychologists. We use the graduated approach to ensure support is given to the child’s progress.
